The criteria, as outlined on the official CDCP website, are as follows:
You are eligible for the program if:
- You don’t have any dental coverage currently
- You’re a Canadian resident (for tax purposes)
- You submitted your tax returns the previous year
- You have an adjusted family income of < $90,000

The Application Process
Follow these steps to apply to the CDCP:
- Eligibility: Check that you meet the qualifications for the program. You will also need to send your personal information, including your name, date of birth, SIN, and address.
- Code: You’ll be sent a code that’ll help you begin the application.
- Start the Application: Apply for the program. It won’t take long for you to know if you’ve been approved or not.
- Confirmation: Once your application has been accepted and you’re eligible, you’ll be sent details about the program and how you can get started.
- Enrolment: All your information will be sent to Sun Life, the insurance provider. Then you can begin booking dental treatment as needed!
